There are issues raised in the case that the court can decide- most notably the extent of state legislatures control of their federal elections.
I don’t see how they can rule on any evidence though.
Perhaps they can keep cases on those charges from closing down from liberal rulings on “laches” (timeliness) and “standing”.
We desperately need the charges tested in court!

Anyway, the Congress will decide the election. As always.

Under the constitution, they are the trial court. They are the place where evidence is introduced and the issue is settled in the first place.

Marbury v. Madison was decided on jurisdiction grounds! In that case, Jay correctly decided the case was outside of SCOTUS jurisdiction - even though Congress granted jurisdiction, the Constitution being superior over statute, SCOTUS could not take Marbury's case.

I'm well past believing that any government body will "do the right thing." The whole apparatus is kaput. Especially the "big" ones.
