That is clearly NOT what they have been asked to do.
They’ve asked to simply review and confirm that these 4 states did not follow the law if their legislatures, as required by the US Constitution, which these states did not even deny in their responses.
The suggested remedy was to appropriately re-assert the state legislatures to their constitutional duty to select their state electors, in the limited time remaining.
If they hide from their duty to our country to resolve this, then it is one of our darkest days ever. Future elections will be decided by whoever can cheat the most, if they all haven’t been recently already.
[[ If they hide from their duty to our country to resolve this, then it is one of our darkest days ever.]]
Absolutely right- and the SC knows this- All eyes on on SC right now- either they stand for justice, or they no longer are a relevant body of judicial interpreters- and their opinions from here on out amount to nothing-
“They’ve asked to simply review and confirm that these 4 states did not follow the law if their legislatures, as required by the US Constitution, which these states did not even deny in their responses.”
If SCOTUS confirms then what?
If SCOTUS denies then what?
If SCOTUS refuses to look at it then what?
