Why would Texas, a state with a very strong economy want to join in a nation of states with weaker economies?
Legitimacy, brotherhood, and a stronger nation, militarily, and world presence-wise.
I think any real patriot would HATE to give up being an American, but an alliance of like-minded states, rather than a single state on its own, would make a patriot feel like he/she’s done the right thing for Truth, Justice and the American Way.
