Had a young guy approach me while getting into my car........(Yellow light blinking) Asked for money (red light)....said his wife was pregnant and they were living under a bridge...(think)...Told him where the nearest Catholic Help service was who would help them. That I didn’t carry cash. He walked away.
As I drove away he was taking cash from a driver he stopped.
Had the same scam a year ago at a gas station. Said he needed money to go back to (insert city). 2 weeks later, I went to the same gas station, and the SAME DUDE gave me the same script.
Some folks have a warped sense of humor. They like to invent trouble or conflict, just to rock the boat.
Such a person may have asked the ‘homeless’ guy:
“So, you say your wife is pregnant. What makes you think you’re the father?”
