Which is the reason they will probably not take the case. The only way they will take the case is to agree on a predetermined outcome which does not give the Election to Trump. They really have no courage to do the right thing, especially Roberts.

If they agree on the merits, they have to provide a remedy. Which is the reason they will probably not take the case. If I had to bet, I'd bet that they will take the case, will side with the Petitioners on the merits, and will send it back to the state legislatures. At that point, it will be in the hands of weak-kneed Republicans. Perhaps the opinion will be worded in such a way that said weak-kneed Republicans will have sufficient cover to do the right thing. Of course, I could be totally wrong about all of this.
