I was born in Alabama and from nine months was raised in Georgia and I have always said Puh-CAHNS. Im my opinion, PEA-Cans is a Yankee pronation. As a disclaimer, by Southern parents spent a few years in their youth away from the South during The Great Depression, Arizona for my Dad and Wyoming for my Mother, so YMMV, or rather their’s, whatever.
