A number of condiments don’t require refrigeration. Ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, honey, molasses, hot sauces. Just look at the label to make sure.

They usually SAY refrigerate after opening whether you should or not. They like the appeal of SEEMING like they must be fresh. Some lose flavor faster when not refrigerated. Others are more prone to contamination. But if you buy it off an unrefrigerated shelf, there’s CERTAINLY no need to refrigerate it UNTIL you open it, although the shelf life of some (salad dressing) is shorter than others (immortal honey).
