I don’t know if they have players rigging games, but I think they have officials do it.
Holding and pass interference penalties. It’s so easy.
And they are not fixing who wins they game, they are wanting the points to hit a certain side of the spread.

The play didn't affect the vast majority of bettors whop go with point spread. Only a tiny fraction would play odds-on-winner, teasers, and propositional bets.
It wasn't Murphy, but someone had a law suggesting that we not impute bad will when stupidity is an adequate explanation.
If the Jets wanted to lose, they NEVER would have been up 28-24 over the Raiders in the first place.
