Ever watch a video on BitChute without it halting and buffering over and over again? I haven’t, and I have a pretty decent broadband connection. They have a good platform model, but they don’t have the infrastructure to support the bandwidth needed to stream the video content. Decentralization is great for some things, video content isn’t one of them. Or things haven’t yet evolved to make it less painful to watch.

Actually, I have occasionally encountered that but not often enough to complain about it. And I have a pretty bad internet connection, and it wasn’t even much worse when I had old school Hughesnet Satellite Internet.

Admittedly a couple of their seed servers can be kind of slow to respond, although once they do start sending the data, usually they do OK.

And if you want to trade your privacy from Google spying, for an occasional few moments of buffering far be it from me to say you shouldn’t.
