I'm going to guess "troupe" could mean C_A actors. This is a message.

Actors have Troupes, such as International Thespian Society Troupe #(fill in the blank). So play on words?

addendum to 1588. Clowns also have "troupes" (i.e. Hearts and Noses Hospital Clown Troupe)

And we know what clowns do.
