Corrupt figures in our government used vast quantities of taxpayer funds to build invasive, illegal surveillance software and then push them out to the public under friendly names like “FaceBook” and “Twitter” for the purposes of harvesting/controlling information.
Maxine Waters once bragged that Obama was building a database like the world had never seen before, and DARPA technology was the base of much of it - all systems gathering and pooling information on citizens.
Trump has broken up the old stable of corrupt traitors but some still remain (sleepers) in government.
When Trump took office, Deep State actors simply walked away with DARPA technology, so we likely have AI for DS purposes, and likely need “good” AI to counter it. Just my 2 cents.
