Most Pitts are real sensitive and friendly dogs. I have 2. Blue Heelers are a different story, I have two of them also. Bear hunters here in Northern Idaho loose dogs every year to aggressive bears. Your dog would be a snack.

“This bear has no fear of humans and next time could be a child taken.”

Not really. The bear was aware of the human and went after the dog. And that 350 pound bear would not have run from the human if he wasn’t afraid at such close quarters. If he wanted, he’d have killed the human easily. The human is just plain lucky.

In seeing buddy on the CBS website, and three bear, none of them would have made the weight CBS is claiming they were. CBS couldn’t tell the truth if it was the only answer available.

What does that mean? Was she suppose to hit the dog? How would she know that some idiot would hit her from behind.

I’m pretty sure the family of the dead Mom and baby wish the driver had run the mutt over (if it was not possible to steer around it which it apparently was not). I believe this happened on a fairly high speed road not a sleepy 25 MPH residential neighborhood where you might get away with stopping without being rear ended.

Three people at fault here. Primarily the drunk/druggie who rear-ended the stopped car. But both the driver who stopped and the irresponsible mutt owner could have prevented these two deaths. Keep mutts off the road.

There are two people at fault, the person who hit the car and the person who allowed the dog to roam (if it wasn’t a stray). The person who stopped wasn’t at fault at all.

OK. Go out driving on a road with a 45-55 MPH speed limit and stop at random times. No one is out there talking or texting when they should be concentrating on driving. Let me know how that works out for you.

And if a deer jumps in front of your vehicle swerve violently to avoid contact. Especially if you have passengers. They would rather end up dead or in the ICU than have your vehicle (or the deer) damaged.
