My grandmother gave me her old purple Cadillac when I went off to college.

I had to park it in the “hood”, and nobody ever touched it for four years even though many of my friends had their cars broken into and vandalized on a routine basis.

I finally had the nerve to ask one of the locals what the deal was and he explained “They think you are a pimp.”
