The one pointing up and to the left is aimed to view the flightpath South of the Reno Airport as its traffic comes and goes over my place.

Ah. I was trying to figure out how I was going to mount it on my tile roof, but I see you just mounted it on the side of your house. You had talked about seeing stars with it, but you're not using it to pan the whole sky. Perhaps I'll just mount mine mainly to capture Arizona sunsets.

These are great for that, especially if you can get them mounted up high,
for a nice wide view. Our best ones for that are mounted halfway up the second floor.

There are radio controlled pan/tilt mounts for cameras on tripods, if
if you’re not ready to give up the idea of panning around with that one.

My primary solution involved several cameras together, giving slightly
overlapping views.

Dad and I do our real star watching with real telescopes... ;-)
(We’re building a trailer portable 18” reflector...)
