Numerous studies have confirmed these findings.

Post some links please. Here is a quote from the first one that I found about the safety of swallowing ground up silver. Drinking from a silver cup and using silverware is one thing. Eating them is another. Have you ever heard the saying, "too much of a good thing."?

“However, no sound scientific studies evaluating these health claims have been published in reputable medical journals. In the U.S., the Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Trade Commission have taken action against several companies for making unproven health claims.”

> “safety of swallowing ground up silver”

Shows you’re an amateur lightweight right there. Colloidal silver is not ‘ground up silver’. It’s made in a process of suspending silver ion nanoparticles, having lost one electron to form Ag+ nanoparticles, drawn from a silver source using an electromagnetic process, no grinding ever involved.

You are posting to a published expert on clinical trial design. The FDA, like so many government agencies, has been politicized and this year weaponized. The FDA is really a consortium panel of experts drawn from industry and academia to collaborate on research subjects and evaluations of new drugs, biologics, devices, and materials. The FDA directors control the money, they choose the panel members all who like money. If they shape their conclusions to mostly align with predetermined government targets, they get renewed as panel advisors. I don’t like the Anthony Fauci types, not at all. He should be prosecuted. Don’t get ne started about NIH, CDC, NIAID, etc. and their federal employee leeches.

Walter Reed, Bethesda Naval, that’s different. Some Harvard Medical network institutions, Dana Farber etc. are good. Mayo Clinic is a mixed bag, office wars ongoing, he who controls the government grants makes the rules. Obama era cretins have crept into the medical bureaucracy in all institutions to ruin reputations and scientific credibility but given control of the grants because they carry the party line. They create environments of Lysenkoism.

Don’t dare even think of showing me a link from some government leech with fantasies of becoming a double-triple dipper with a big buck consultancy to scumbags in pharma executive suites. I am known to tear such frauds a new anus and to bring them up on scientific misconduct charges, especially this year where fake science has erupted across the spectrum of once venerable prestigious medical research journals. I’ve had many blackballed and those that have attempted retaliation have had their asses handed to them in court.

Most of the adverse studies on colloidal silver focus on misuse. Any therapeutic can be misused. It is important to understand misuse of any known agent. Colloidal silver is no exception. Such studies do not make it universally unsafe.

Am I advocating colloidal silver? No. I am merely directing attention to those that engage their big mouth keyboards before engaging their brains. We want FR to be smart. These posters demean the forum. There are other antimicrobial agents but colloidal silver agents should continue to be studied and evaluated especially in environments of drug resistance.

You’re lucky you said ‘please’ when you asked. Here you go:

1. Spectrum of antimicrobial activity associated with ionic colloidal silver
J Altern Complement Med. 2013 Mar;19(3):224-31. doi: 10.1089/acm.2011.0681. Epub 2012 Sep 27.
Conclusions: The study data support ionic colloidal silver as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent against aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, while having a more limited and specific spectrum of activity against fungi.

2. In vitro antimicrobial studies of silver carbene complexes: activity of free and nanoparticle carbene formulations against clinical isolates of pathogenic bacteria, J Antimicrob Chemother. 2012 Jan;67(1):138-48. doi: 10.1093/jac/dkr408. Epub 2011 Oct 3.
Conclusions: The four SCCs described here, including their development as NP therapies, show great promise for treating a wide variety of bacterial and fungal pathogens that are not easily killed by routine antimicrobial agents.

3. Comparison of methods to detect the in vitro activity of silver nanoparticles (AgNP) against multidrug resistant bacteria,
J Nanobiotechnology. 2015 Oct 5;13:64. doi: 10.1186/s12951-015-0120-6.
Conclusion: It seems that agar diffusion method can be used as screening test, minimum inhibitory concentration/minimum bactericidal concentration and time kill showed to be useful methods. The activity of commercial silver nanoparticle and silver controls did not exceed the activity of the citrate and chitosan silver nanoparticles. The in vitro inhibitory effect was stronger against Gram-negative than Gram-positive, and similar against multidrug resistant and susceptible bacteria, with best result achieved using citrate and chitosan silver nanoparticles. The bactericidal effect of silver nanoparticle may, in the future, be translated into important therapeutic and clinical options, especially considering the shortage of new antimicrobials against the emerging antimicrobial resistant microorganisms, in particular against Gram-negative bacteria.

I could go on for 50 pages.
