Thanks or this thread I have a shortwave radio that could be useful if I knew how to find the right settings for U.S. info.
Beautiful Shortwave radio and transciever....arrived this week! Yaesu FT DX 3000. Works as a transceiver with excellent RX and noise reduction and of course General RX for shortwave listening....Antenna is a Multi-Band Vertical DX COmmander from Callum McCormick in England.

The radio has a dial. Most of what you will hear is chinese propaganda, the BBC, and Christian evangelists.
And a bunch of old guys talking about how well they can hear each other half way around the world.
