I live in a rural area on the Eastern Shore of Maryland ...

During a noonish phone call I heard it and mentioned it to the caller.

It lasted, perhaps, 5 seconds. Several loud booms - the house shook and the windows rattled in their frames. I thought it an explosion at first.

Last time I experienced anything like this was a earthquake but this time the house didn’t sway.

Ditto here in Charlotte, NC.

Three or four loud booms, like a cannon going off. Quite loud, deep bass sound. shook the house pretty good. Maybe late morning.
