We have a Betty Crocker from back in that day. It’s a good source for basic recipes. I don’t recall any of this weird stuff.

Correct. Wish I could find ma Lurkin’s Betty Crocker book, but seems to have disappeared during a move.

I have the 1950s Betty Crocker cookbook inherited from my mother; my favorite page is the one where it discusses the "new" addition to American cuisine, the pizza pie...

I have that cookbook too and others from 70s. You are right, nothing wrong with the cookbook, great basic recipes. Every cookbook has some questionable recipes, from every time frame.

My sister’s grandkids LOVE the mac and cheese recipe from one of the Betty Crocker cookbooks from the ‘70s.
