That link is to US Attorneys - and doesn’t speak of “federal district” - I guess that’s up to interpretation by the individual. I was just curious when I read it as I’d never heard anything referred to that way before but it did reinforce my thinking that it’s all judicial related..-not anything the federal government regulates.

The first line of text on that page follows. “Below is a listing of current United States Attorneys for all 94 districts.”
The link itself is housed on the DOJ website and the attorney’s listed are appointed to office by the sitting president.
Thanks - remember when all US Attorneys were fired by Clinton at the beginning of his term and then GWB fired a handful and got flak...Hey - it was a long time ago and so much has taken place since then and I may not remember accurately the circumstances but it was SOP to let them all go at the beginning of a new president’s term in office. I don’t recall if they were all let go with obozo’s term or Trump’s but I don’t believe so. I don’t remember controversy about it or the MSM getting it so wrong!
