I dont see how twisting an ankle can cause a top arch bone fracture.

Summer before last, I missed the last step going to the laundry room at my mother-in-law’s. Heard a pop, felt excruciating pain, and dropped to the floor. Husband and brother-in-law managed to carry me back upstairs. By that time my foot had swollen with a large bulge on the outside of my ankle. Could not bear to have the slightest touch to or put any weight on that foot. Went to ER. Sprained, torn ligaments, and broken navicular bone. I was in a boot and on crutches for 6 weeks, then the boot only for another 6 weeks. Swelling continued for several more months as I was on my feet for most of the day while at school.
