Good grief! So, I’m a “newbie” to FR. Big deal. How long before I’m not attacked for THAT?
Let’s see, I put a period punctuation mark after my post’s title and that seems to be worthy of being singled out, as well. I’m not doing this “vanity” thing right. So, I get bashed for THAT. I speak plain English and write it, too. I sometimes write something creative and clever. God help me. That’s apparently bad for this FR forum. Some of you FR or Freepers or whatever you call yourselves are some real bonafide jerks.
How long does your “FR club intitiation” last? Months? Years?
When I opened my FR account, I really thought I’d be exchanging ideas and information with people of a more advanced level of maturity and intellect. Guess not.

You will! FR is the best conservative forum inthe Internet. No doubt about it.
And it’s populated by good people. But sometimes their advice will be a bit, shall we say, undiplomatic. And even good people have cranky days. Especially in this current environment.
I estimate that no more than 5% of the folks here have genuinely bad intent. If you’ve lurked here awhile perhaps you’ll agree with that.
So sometimes you gotta side-step a little, and let that feeble punch just go right past you. Stay in the ring, FRiend.

I think it’s 10 years for being a Newbie. After that, they’ll call you “princess”.
But 47 comments is an indication of a great vanity.

I’ve been a lurker and contributor for many years, but this is my first time writing anything. I’m glad you posted what you did - there will always be malcontents, but you should know that there are many “people of a more advanced level of maturity and intellect” who appreciate you. We must stand together in this dark hour. As far as I’m concerned, if we let the fraud stand, the Republic is lost. Let’s all stand together and do what we can to make certain that President Trump is inaugurated on 1-20-21. God Bless all of you.

There are some reasonable folks around. But they tend to only come out when Judge Jeanine is on.

I really think you missed the point of my reply.
I was defending you as a new person, often referred to as a “newbie”.
I made comments like: “OK, I personally see nothing wrong with that.” “There appears to be nothing leftie or trollish about the vanity content.”
I am not the one complaining about punctuation marks. I never said your vanity was wrong.
When I said: “This election is making FReepers a little crazy. The down and outers, the Debbie Downers, the negativism expressed just about everyplace.” I was referring to those attacking you.
Actually, this whole thread is a sign of the anxiety going on right now. A way to keep one’s mental health up is by not being so negative, but rather see the entertainment value of threads like this.
