The reason there are typos is the receiving court uses Adobe OCR, to transcribe the PDF this way. It is common that spelling errors occur during this process.

Do we know that for 100% certain?

Even assuming that's the case, I'm pretty familiar with both PDFs and Adobe OCR. And since Adobe MAKES both the PDF engine AND the OCR engine, it's usually pretty darn accurate at converting - assuming it was even converted. And unless there was a need to convert PDF into raw text for some bizarre reason, I can't fathom why there'd be any other reason to "convert" FROM PDF. PDF is usually searchable, easy to open on any platform, etc. So unless we KNOW that it was converted, this seems more like a convenient excuse for the unforgivable typo-riddled docs.

Net, I can't fathom why anyone would have had a need to convert from PDF..and assuming the docs were written with Word, Word can save to PDF with 100% accuracy. Can't blame that process for the typos.

Ok, sorry. Maybe I should take my own advice. I tried to educate myself about this, but surely could be wrong. I stand corrected. I still think that calling this amazing bit of work that was put together in such a short time “sloppy” is beyond the pale.

I’ve pdfed docs that printed cleanly, and previewed on the screens cleanly, but when pdfed were a mess. I’ve also sent pdf docs that looked fine in my computer, but then some of the users’ computer scrambled them, or misformated them, while other users’ showed cleanly. I think it happens when there is different formatting, or even different fonts used.

I can’t see why OCR would be used toward the end of the process, and I can’t imagine pasting and OCR segment without looking at it. Proofing is a simple standard function, and can be spread out across a large group if it needs to be done quickly.

My guess is the problems had to do with the final pdf.

I would propose you are either an idiot or troll. The PDF errors are most likely caused by the inept capabilities of the Georgia/Michigan software that accepts these filings from the legal team. You can blame Powell and team all you want but I would be quite confident these versions are not what was submitted. It is virtually impossible to produce a document these days with these sorts of obvious spelling mistakes. Even the FREEP text editor highlights misspellings!

Perhaps you are cozy with the MSM morons that don’t actually do ANY investigations prior to publishing their lies and innuendo??

Do you know how to spell “troll”.
