Well, in 90% of the world, it’s a round ball people play a game with that allows touching by their feet, but not hands.

In the USA, it’s an oblong ball that only certain players are allowed to touch it with their feet, but almost everyone is allowed to use their hands.

In the USA, it should be called “Hand-Egg”, not “Foot-ball”.

Stop being so logical. In American baseball, no offensive player is EVER allowed to touch the ball. There is no out of bounds, no clock, and AT BEST, the offense only has four players on the field, compared to the defense, who has nine.

...don't tell me about the rest of the world...
