I look at all of this as good news. It is an object lesson in what happens when businesses alienate half of their customers by choosing a side politically. Nobody could be faulted for subtle messaging but it has become blatant and obvious. And you don’t need to alienate half of your customers when 20% can be the margin of profitability.
Personally I haven’t been to a movie in 8 months but I totally am not buying the movies I have missed for streaming. Streaming really is no substitute for the movie theater experience. Another mistake media companies are making is interpreting stupid pandemic measures for actual social trends. There are some people who are genuinely afraid of Covid but most of everyone else wants to go back to normal, and not that new normal that they are talking about all the time.

Those in charge are not afraid of COVID and have always lived through this NORMALLY. They never once shut down their own traveling or social gatherings let alone do they wear masks anytime there isn’t a camera around.
