You really cannot go wrong with C. Some people need to take the buffered kind. If one takes divided doses, the loose stools are the clearest indication of whether one needs to back off a bit.

One possible problem with the IV use of C is that it is very hard on the veins (it IS an acid). One article I read back in the Spring said that the oral use was much preferred.
FYI, based on that article I got a kilo of powdered C that I mix into smoothies (about 1000 mg a pop) on most days.
