What I have read is all over the place. I do know that taking that much C will make what comes out the other end liquid, at random (and assuredly inconvenient times), for days. Probably shouldn’t be done proactively , and perhaps lower amounts will be helpful anyway to prevent or minimize the cytokine storm (esp. if combined with zinc and an ionophore to ameliorate the severity of the Covid).

I don’t think that that is correct. With serious infection, the body will use it up. Loose stools are the cue to back off.
The MATH+ protocol uses intravenous Ascorbic Acid at fairly high doses.
I believe it was Robert Cathcart, MD who put out a table for how much vitamin C to use daily for various ailments. For serious viral infection, IIRC it was on the order of 100 grams per day.
I’ve personally taken 30g/day for months when I was seriously ill in 2014. No issues for me.
