I often times wonder, how many of that rabble had just a few days before taken up palm fronds and said to him..”Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
The mob is fickle.
Many did as they saw The Lord as the instrument to overturn Rome and when the crowd realized this was not going to be the case they turned on Him.
The crucifixion of Jesus was an example of pure
democracy.
It’s why our founders gave us a republic.

I always liked the above. No one is trying to kill you, yet a few verses later, “ Isn’t that they guy they want to kill?”
