One killed two miniature horses up the road from me.
The DNR trapped it, “scared” it and turned it loose again, even nearer to me.
They said, and this is a literal quote “It was not feeding behavior. The horses were just in the wrong place at the wrong time”.
They were in their stall in their PADDOCK.
Where should they have been?
My idiot aunt up the road lets it eat her bird and cat food.
It stands in her yard and stares in her huge floor-to-ceiling windows.
I cannot overstate how BIG it is.
A friend videoed it walking down the road near my house and it is easily 40” or more at the shoulder.

No, didn’t eat it, just grabbed onto and drowned the toddler. Daddy came into water (wading height) and chased gator away and recovered the body, but it was too late. 2016, same week as the Pulse Night Club shootings.

My recollection is that the gator had to be killed to recover the rest of the boy.
Like your version of the story had any different of an ending. The child still died at the hands of a gator.

I can not get the picture to copy. It is of an 11 inch alligator that swam by our boat. I reached out and grabbed it and the boat captain pretty near crapped himself because the mother was probably close.
Never, ever mess with baby gators......................

On checking the sources, you are correct. The child drowned, but the body was intact, with puncture wounds.
If it had been my puppy I would have skinned the alligator.
Ok I watched the video, he should have Kept pulling on the gators jaws until they snapped and if the game warden had a problem with that suggest doing the same to him.
