It’s not about bans.
It is about
1) the poster was on FR posting tons of “China is a wonderful, modern economy and anything negative you have read elsewhere is wrong” type stuff for a long time. It was all intriguing and I read a lot of it. Then it dawned that it had no connection to any reality other than the poster’s.
2) The link is question is nothing more than a compilation of all the times a socialist revolution has simply overwhelmed a population and everyone was disarmed, shot, sent to camps and the terror raged for years. Every possible response was covered in a negative sense EXCEPT the fact that a majority of Americans do not succumb to terror.
Read my posts. I do not advocate banning and I usually address trolls directly without using the word.
We have a lot of nervous nellies who will clutch at postings like this and just say it’s time to give up. Facilitating despair is counterproductive and the mark of a frightened opponent. Those of us of a certain age remember Hanoi Jane and our parents remember Tokyo Rose.
