I was in tenth grade math class. The teacher received a note from the office and read it. Up until he mentioned Governor Connolly I thought it was some kind of insensitive joke.
I also was in an 8th grade math class. Edison Jr. High School in Port Arthur, Texas. My head was down on my desk as tears rolled down face and I cried silently. Times have changed. I’m closer to my death than my birth and my country is about to begin it’s swan song. I still feel like putting my head down on that desk and weeping.
