Wife and I are going to dinner at our favorite restaurant in about an hour.
Tomorrow; salmon, Uncle Ben’s rice spiked with Minnesota wild rice from the rice cooker.
None of our relatives are coming. Son Jeremy is in Olympia w/girlfriend...
Our black cat will join us.
Our restaurants just reopened after a 2 week shutdown but they have to close by 6pm. Since Spaniards don’t normally eat supper until 9pm or later I don’t even know why they bothered.
In a show we watched the other day a chef who runs a Michelin starred pub commented that once people start realising that the pints they pay 5 pounds for at the pubs can be had for less than a pound at the grocery store it’s going to be extremely difficult to pull them back in once things get back to normal. It only takes a few weeks to develop a new set of habits and the habit of getting your drinks at 80% off will be a hard one to break.
