The only thing that puts me off is the leeks, I love virtually everything in the onion family shallots are wonderful, but never was a fan of leeks.
Maybe it’s the name? Leak soup? I’ll pass.

No, I hear you there! I can't stand to bite into oniony things. I like a sweet onion flavor except it gives me really bad heartburn. Leeks are a sweeter flavor and the soup is a dried powder where you're supposed to add milk to it, I think (never used it except for this) but I just pour the powdery concoction into the bread & potato chips as is, pour the sautéed oysters - liquid & all - and it makes the flavor stand out even better than onions. If swear, if I ever bit into the Leeks, I'd gag. Thank God they're not that big at all.

True story, we had wild onion in the back yard. My parents never mowed it down. My daughter would go over & chomp on the green part (Leeks) growing on top of the bulb. I'd all but throw her out of my car when she ate them before going home.
