Sources close to production say the contestant had completed the course, but required medical attention after leaving the course. He was then attended to by on-site emergency professionals, after which paramedics were called to the set, and the contestant was transported to a local hospital.
No further information about the contestant has been released. All “Wipeout” contestants undergo medical exams before they are cleared to participate.
There is a planned break in filming for the Thanksgiving holiday. The show plans to resume shooting sometime after that hiatus.

Another COVID death.
The “EXTREME!! SPORTS/GAMES” scene is probably a good place to start if you’re working toward a Darwin Award.

x3, just like ballot counting.
Holy mackerel!
It’s a wonder more people are killed.
I always liked Jill Wagner.
Sounds like that show the used to film in Valencia CA - can’t remember the name. This one looks more dangerous.
Is this like the show where you have to do strength contests against a grizzly bear?
If the games do not include commentary by Vic Romano and Kenny Blankenship they aren’t worth watching.
Ha!! I was just about to make a MXC comment!
MXC was one of the funniest shows, evah! (it’s on amazon prime)
Its also on Tubi for free
and not one of those sh1theads had teeth guard that i could see...
You can't watch MXC without wondering how drunk the contestants are to take such hits.
One thing that MXC did that Wipeout fails at is showing at least one clip of a contestant who successfully makes it through the obstacle. The Wipeout ones are clearly designed for programmed failure for effect. There's no sense of edge-of-your-seat"maybe...maybe...oooooh!"
Wipeout does have Jill Wagner though.
They did show one or two people every show making it to the end on an obstacle. But the thrill of the show was the constant failures.
“resume shooting”
Is this how the contestant died? /s
