Talk about a non sequitor. I think you have hit the point of cognitive dissonance.

I agree with you that Trump is and perceives himself to be fighting the best he can. It just isn’t as simple as him being unable to trust Washingtonians.

Roger Stone back during Trump’s first transition was apoplectic about him thinking he could make peace with the GOPe and rely on them to help him govern. Stone, who has been a Trump confidant for decades, was trying to tell him that personnel is policy and that there were more than enough genuine MAGA state pols and bureaucrats willing and able to help him transform DC—but that Trump had been persuaded by his liberal daughter and SIL’s whisperings to go the opposite route.

Actually, believing that the Deep State is controlled by human/alien hybrids is much more plausible (though I don't necessarily believe it) than believing that our President is controlled by the Deep State.

At this moment, Trump is the one single thing that stands between our Country and those who want to fundamentally change it into something resembling communism.
