Yep. Oddly enough, flu numbers are down.

I wonder if some of these deaths are from.......the flu.....as in every other year.

Flu numbers aren’t down. Flu season doesn’t typically pick up until December. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/season/flu-season.htm

319 positive cases of flu have already been recorded since Sept 27th. Flu activity has been picking up steadily in the past couple of weeks, which is normal. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm

Last year’s flu season began a bit early, but was otherwise a relatively mild flu season. Seasonal flu accounts for about 36,000 deaths per year; not 300,000. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/index.html

Deaths for all other causes besides COVID-19 are normal or slightly elevated for this year. Total excess deaths for this year are at over 300,000. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htm
