That’s an interesting idea.

Can a president nominate a judge for a spot not yet open?
Can a president’s nomination survive past the president’s term?
Can a president nominate a judge without specifying the particular judge ship.
Could a new president withdraw the nominations?

If the nominations haven’t been approved by the senate then yes, they can be withdrawn. But once approved, they are there for life.
