At one show someone tossed a frisbee on to the stage during Montana. He stopped the band and announced that if anything else hit the stage they’d leave.
Then with a “2..3..4” they picked up exactly where they left off. I was stunned.

The author made a point about how much he rehearsed his bands.
I’ve read stories of how merciless he was to those auditioning. You had to be really good to play with him.
