How is “America First” different from “America Over Others”?
Deutschland Uber Alles does not mean “Germany Over Others”. It’s more like E PLURIBUS UNUM, Out Of Many, One. It means valuing the Nation of Germany over the collection of regions, principalities, and city states that comprise it. Like One Nation, Under God, Indivisible. I used to misunderstand and think it was about dominating others too. It’s not.
Words can sometimes sound the same, but this can be misleading. What really counts is the spirit in which they are spoken.
Self preservation is not necessarily antagonism against others.
