Here’s my takeon the SCOTUS getting involved and ultimately awarding it to Trump. In 2000 there was a large body of opinion that the court would not take the case, election rules being states issues. Rhenquest didn’t hesitate, not just to stop the count, but to leave Bush43 the winner. The stated precedent Rhenquest sited was they broke the law. Specifically the Fla court.
IMHO with so much law breaking to the point of criminality, this SCOTUS will order the states at issue to certify for Trump. A closer question is the down ballot in those states. I’m guessing they’ll order a new election ab initio , in person no absentee no mail ins, sometime in January.
The court won’t be concerned with timing. Certification dates, inauguration date can be moved. In the interest of justice.
