The way some people on this site talk, you would think that nobody would ever get convicted of a crime, unless they were caught on camera....”this is all just circumstantial”....” this will never hold up in court”..... I get the fact that we are all paranoid about not trusting anyone in government to do right by Trump, and therefore, wishing for a smoking gun that serves as undeniable proof.....but long before there were cellphones and security cameras, detectives were able to gather enough evidence to convict all kinds of criminals, without anything close to a smoking gun.....people here are so pessimistic, they’ve lost all sight of how the criminal justice system has always worked
In defense of the people on the site, there’s been a lot of circumstantial stuff that has been shown to be unreliable, so the skepticism is high. A shame, really, because this one is pretty amazing, I think.
Four long years of endless investigations into the multiple attempts to overthrow President Trump and NOBODY HELD TO ACCOUNT. No indictments, no grand juries, no charges, no arrests, no convictions, no incarcerations...no nothing.
Three years ago, there was huge optimism the criminal class would finally be brought to justice. But nothing happened other than people getting fired or resigning.
Pardon us for getting jaded, beaten down, and cynical.
