The most autocratic regimes the world has ever known have toppled in the past, because they ignored the very basic recalcitrance of the supposedly docile serfs over which they had domain.
We are in for a “dark season”, during which the world will fall into some degree of de-civilization, which may involve open warfare, but more likely, urban guerrilla street fighting between opposing factions, none of which have open regime support.
