Reminds me of growing up. We would always get a real semi-ratty tree and spend 1/2 an hour rotating it until my mother would say that's the best it's going to look. This guy never would have come in the house.

My old man’s trick was to buy a tree that was a bit too tall. Any bare spots he would grab his drill and saw. Drill a hole in the trunk and shove one of the trimmed down limbs from the bottom into the hole!
When Christmas was over he would shove the tree into the snow in the backyard where it would last most of the winter!
