Back in the good old days of pay phones, that would be a great number to take to the mall, go to the row of a dozen phones and dial it on each one leaving the handset off the hook. They even have to pay a premium rate for a toll-free call from a pay phone.

I loved that in the early days of email spammers who were stupid enough to give you an 800 number to call to buy their crap.

You needed a quarter to call, but the phone gave you the quarter back if you called an toll-free number.
