Until I understood that ballot counters could be connected to the internet, I didn’t think our elections could be manipulated. Our identification procedures are very rigorous. The only thing holding me back from an absolute declaration that the votes were manipulated in our 2019 election is that Trudeau ended up with a minority government - a very much less-than-ideal power base. If the votes were manipulated, wouldn’t they be certain to give him at least a bare majority? Maybe they estimated the win and underestimated, and we have sufficient safeguards in place to prevent large-scale or wide-spread after-the-fact fraud? I don’t know.

I vote on paper and then my paper ballot is fed into a tabulating machine. I get to watch the whole process and verify that my vote(s) was/were counted. I can state for certain that the machine was positioned in the centre of the room with no chords extending from it. That doesn’t exclude the possibility of a wifi connection, of course. There’s a lot to be said for (dumb) simple tabulating machines accompanied by paper records as backup. None of that explains how that moron got elected TWICE! I’m so disappointed in my fellow-Canadians.

If things deteriorate to the unthinkable place here, I’m hoping President Trump will introduce a medical refugee clause in your immigration rules for covid camp refugees. I’ll absolutely take advantage of that clause, leave my business behind, and become a very dependable conservative American citizen. My freedom would be worth what I give up.

I don't follow Canadian politics. I recall Mulroney was PM and there was a very Canadian scandal involving a Conservative premier or attorney general who posed kinda naked with her robes of office handing off her shoulders. That and Chretien kinda sounds like cretin.

However, I find it odd considering the rough and tumble of parliamentary politics that a twerpy half-a-fag like Justin Trudeau is the leader of a major party. If I were a veteran MP with decades in Ottawa I wouldn't give that pretty boy the time of day let alone follow him into battle. I guess Canadian politics is as fake as ours.
