Thanks for your prayers. I appreciate it. And I’m sure I only know a snippet of what goes on in their marriage. I don’t know if there’s anyone else; she assures me there isn’t, although that was always her MO in the past. They both have issues along with trouble communicating, which is why counseling would be great, but he refuses, saying he can do it by himself. My initial fear is he will harm himself, but I’m also worried about her safety as a secondary reaction. I guess that’s why my heart is so heavy at this time.
Wasn’t it so much easier when the kids were little?! I am not a fan of having to “step back” and let them make their own mistakes. It is very, very difficult to do. I have a friend who says, “little kids, little problems.. big “kids”, big problems”. I would add on to her saying,”and we are suppose to watch the train wreck”. Perhaps both of them need some growing up to do and maybe they can learn a lot from this. Hugs! Mom
