Years ago I went to the Dominion site from Canada. Got nicely acquainted with many folk.. Not sure what happened or why I lost tract. Maybe life got in the way of virtual.
Bacon seems to be a hot topic here. It is in this household also. Each week I do at least a pound. Usually cook it all at one time.. 3/4 done. cool and refrigerete. Use it along the way during week. Like today. I am making Jenny Chicken Lentil soup in slow cooker. Calls for 1/4 c of bacon fat. okay. Will crumble a few pieces to go atop her soup with the shredded parmesan. Will use some tomorrow AM in her omelette along with onion and cheese. Will make a BLT one evening for dinner. Cooking messy foods only once appeals to me. I put the excess bacon fat atop dry cat food for the feral kitties at my home
I missed 2 transfusions this week due to being snowed in. My van was covered in snow and the condo parking lot plow guys did a great job of piling 4 feet length and 3 feet deep in front of my vehicle. with my shortness of breath and severe back issues, shoveling out was a no no.
Sorry to hear that you had to miss the MUCH NEEDED transfusions, Dolly.
That lentil soup sounds amazing.
