Are you a chef?
I remember all of your great food/meal pics, on the rally thread(s).
Just curious about the stocking up. A friend of mine had a small restaurant (long ago....in an office building :) and would stock up on sale items.
I have tons of cookbooks but I hate to cook. And what I do cook is pretty basic. I blame it on the fact I live alone-hate spending 30-45 minutes preparing something that will disappear in 10 minutes. But it's cheaper and healthier than eating out.
I don't consider myself a prepper-any prepper worth their salt would die laughing looking at my stores-but having grown up poor I've always set stuff aside when on sale; that way if I hit an economic downturn or even bad weather where I can't get to store, I'm fine. Also lets me donate to the food pantry or help others out in the neighborhood if they hit hard times-there’s a lot of young military families in my area.
