The biggest complaint I hear about MeWe is that when you first join, it’s a “desert” out there! Once you can find some other folks, people seem to like it.

Some relatives and I are fairly desperate to get off of Fakebook, but we use it to keep in touch with some family members who have small kids & it’s the only way we can watch them grow up (I have NO “friends” that aren’t ‘family’). There are 3 of us that would probably make the ‘jump’ to MeWe, but the younger folks are so well-established on Fakebook, I don’t see them going to the trouble just for us “old folks”.

I’ve been tempted to set up an account just to see how the process goes.

Gotta give it some time. People may hate FB, but they’re dependent on it, so breaking away is hard for some. MeWe’s user population is now up to 9 million, so it’s definitely growing.

I like MeWe because you can customize it to suit yourself. FYI,once you change settings you have to log out before they take effect.
