Yes... On a small scale. The book of Jonah. The great city of Ninevah repented and God stayed his hand.
Jonah 3:10 (NIV)
When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.
NOTE: It was only a postponement. Ninevah went back to it’s evil ways and was destroyed by the Assyrians between 70 and 200 years later.
God MIGHT postpone the end of days, we don’t know. But they WILL come when Christ returns. He said HE doesn’t even know the day, only the Father. Either way, each of us better be ready.
There are only two places we can go: Heaven or Hell, and there will be no “re-count”. Christ offers Heaven if we accept him, and ONLY through Him. Otherwise......
