Morning all! I woke up this morning with a question in my mind about Esper. First we heard he was resigning, I think that may have been Friday. Then Monday Trump terminates him and tweets about it. Could Esper have been in the scif with the Trump team on election night? Was he caught leaking either by email or text to the dark side? If he thought he was resigning he would have time to clean out his phone. But if he was terminated Monday hopes are it was a surprise and phone, computer, etc. were confiscated. Thought on this anyone?
My understanding of a SCIF is that all electronic devices must be surrendered prior to entering, so any communications Esper had would have been after he left. I like the idea that President Trump knows who all his enemies are on the inside, and I’m wondering too if this was preemptive or if he had evidence of betrayal.
